The name Devdan comes from Sanskrit Deva and Dhana, meaning “God’s Grace.” The performance celebrates Indonesia’s cultural heritage and the spirit of Unity in Diversity.
The story follows two children who discover a magical treasure chest and are taken on a journey through different Indonesian islands, with each region presented through distinctive dances, costumes, music, and performances.
